Description | QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a United States Army Non-Commissioned Officer or Warrant Officer. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must be eligible for a Georgia Teaching Permit or License and meet the minimum qualifications required by the Department of the Army.
- Must possess effective instructional delivery techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate students to excel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruct cadets in the JROTC curriculum during the school year.
- Conduct training at JROTC camps.
- Develop short and long range plans for achieving curriculum goals, gather appropriate materials, establish clear objectives for lessons, and formulate appropriate lesson plans.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and the personal growth of students.
- Evaluate student progress and counsel cadets on their performance within the JROTC program.
- Motivate and encourage students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a foundation for becoming a responsible citizen.
- Monitor student movement to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Organize, supervise and participate in extracurricular activities for JROTC cadets.
- Armed Regulation Team, color guard, drill teams and other special activities.
- Maintain JROTC student records as required by the Department of Army regulations and local policies.
- Comply with Army and school district safety guidelines when instructing, supervising, monitoring, and accompanying cadets.
- Maintain supply accountability in strict compliance with Army security regulations.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media.
- Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
- Attend staff development programs, department meetings and other professional activities.
- Set an example and model positive attitudes, knowledge, and skills for cadets.
- Maintain a working knowledge of new instructional methods, technology and equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Principal or other appropriate administrator.
