Primary Function: Apply paint and sealer to any portion of the interior or exterior of any building, mobile classroom, exterior structures, stadiums, parking lots, etc. Ability to make general repairs in preparation of painting. Ability to operate specialty equipment such as portable spray machine, pressure washer, sand blaster, ceiling stipple gun, etc.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors during all types of weather including hot, cold, rainy, humid, and dry conditions

Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
|
Must possess a valid driver's license, have dependable transportation and a good driving record
|
Must have a thorough working knowledge of various kinds of paints and stains and their proper application
|
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Essential Functions:
|
Apply paint and sealer to any portion of the interior or exterior of any building, mobile classroom, exterior structures, stadiums, parking lots, etc.
|

Complete painting assignments associated with the preventive painting schedules or reactive painting tasks
|
|
Follow proper painting procedures to allow a timely completion of painting projects with high quality and professionalism
|
|
Identify areas that need to be repaired/painted in the different schools
|
|
Clean, prep, and repair all surfaces prior to applying any coatings/paint
|
|
Work without constant direction
|
|
Maintain a clean work site
|
|
Complete all assigned work orders
|
|
Complete all paperwork in a timely manner, obtaining proper signatures from the issuing administrator
|
|
Estimate time, material and supply needs to complete assigned jobs
|
|
Monitor inventory levels of paints, stains, and supplies
|
|
Assist in ordering paints, stains, and supplies as directed
|
|
Maintain routine records related to assigned activities
|
|
Report immediately safety hazards which affect the welfare of students and district employees
|
|
Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee
|
