Primary Function: Ability to learn and utilize routine methods and procedures to be followed in instructional settings. Supervise students assigned to in-school suspension (ISS) for disciplinary reasons. Maintain a highly structured and orderly environment. Work under the general supervision of the principal or designee daily.

Education level must be in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines

Essential Functions:
|
Work with certified teacher and campus administrators to create and maintain an orderly and high structured classroom environment
|
|
Assist with supervision of students
|
|
Work with individual students to complete assignments given by classroom teacher
|
|
Assist with student assessment, grading work and tests, and collecting data on student progress
|
|
Maintain individual files of completed student assignments and return to classroom teachers
|
|
Consult classroom teachers regarding student assignments
|
|
Locate, operate, and return needed equipment
|
|
Distribute, collect, and check student assignments for accuracy
|
|
Assist in ordering and inventory of ISS classroom equipment and materials
|
|
Manage student behavior and administer discipline according to board policies, administrative regulations, and Individual Education Plans (IEP)
|
|
Record student attendance and discipline referrals using staff designated computer
|
|
Supervise students assigned to ISS during lunch and bathroom breaks
|
|
Assist with school-wide supervision such as loading/unloading buses
|
|
Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position
|
|
Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable, and punctual manner
|
|
Participate in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to the assignment
|
|
Review current developments, literature and technical source information related to job responsibilities
|
|
Maintain confidentiality
|
|
Ensure adherence to appropriate safety procedures
|
